DENDROBIUM 'Yellow Manta'
DENDROBIUM 'Red Manta'
Temperature: 12 - 28 Deg C is ideal for day time and a cooling period of 10-15 Deg C at night is helpful for flowering
Light: Sufficient light is necessary for healthy growth and flower production. In a greenhouse, about 30 to 50 percent of full sun. Plants are naturally erect, without need of stalking.
Water: Keep evenly moist while in active growth. Allow to dry between waterings after growth is mature
Humidity:Dendrobiums need 50 to 60 % humidity. Mist is useful in Indian conditions
Potting: Should be done every two to three years before mix loses consistency. Pot firmly in medium, giving aeration and ample drainage, allowing enough room for two years' growth. Dendrobiums grow best in pots small for the size of the plant with adequate drain.
Fertilizer: Nitrogen: Phospherous: Pottassium (NPK)= 10:10:10 ideal mix. 'Weakly, weekly' is the motto. Frequent fertilising is important during the active growth phase.
